WHY WE EXIST?
To honour God and establish Christ-centred,
Spirit-empowered, socially responsible churches and campus ministries in every nation.
To honour God.
At Every Nation Canberra, we strive to create a warm, welcoming, come-as-you-are atmosphere. Our gathering enjoys a blend of contemporary worship music, prayer, and sharing of the word that is Bible-based, timely and relevant to our everyday lives.
To establish churches and campus ministries.
We are a church that is called to plant new churches and campus ministries that reach every major college and university and every major city in Australia.
Every Nation churches and campus ministries are to be centred on Jesus Christ, not for any man, doctrine or experience to take centre stage.
He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together. And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead so that in everything He might have the supremacy. (Colossians 1:17, 18)
Every Nation churches and campus ministries welcome and celebrate the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to empower us to live lives that honour God and become effective witnesses to our community.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8)
Every Nation churches and campus ministries are to demonstrate Christ to the community and culture that they’re in.
Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honours God. (Proverbs 14:31)
He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. (Matthew 25:45)
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:19,20)
After this, I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. (Revelation 7:9)
